I just couldn't get in to this one. I didn't find a connection with the character and the writing was a bit too flowery for me. Sometimes I just want the story about the characters and not the superfluous. I can't believe I'm saying it, but it was OVER descriptive. And each character had to describe this land. I got it already. The main character describing her paper and what she was doing in detail. Sometimes, I notice in the books I've read so far by this author, that her descriptions turn into directions. I ended up not finishing the story and won't count it toward my reading goal for this year.
